Ruins of Stein Baden

Probably the most impressive view of Baden: from the Stein ruins, there is a sweeping panorama of the old town and the surrounding vineyards – on clear days, you can even see as far as the Alps or the Black Forest. Where today the remains of walls remind us of times gone by, there once stood a magnificent castle where the Counts of Habsburg resided. The Schlossberg rises about 80 metres above the town and is easily accessible via stairs or well-signposted paths such as the Niklausstiege.
